I have always liked Steve Jobs for his innovation and creativity. He wanted to put a dent in the universe and he certainly did. I am sad to hear he is gone because I know all too well the struggle cancer can put a family through, as my dad also passed away from cancer 2 months after he found out he had it. I wish his family a strong recovery from something so devastating. I would like to share with you a video of his Stanford commencement speech in 2005. It’s worth the watch.

Rather than being a standard “this is how it’s done” book, David takes a more casual approach when talking to us about brand design. It starts out with a brief reality check about how many logos are actually out there. You see them everywhere, all day, everyday. Then David takes us on a magical logo journey.

You’ll soon be learning all about personal experiences and ways to make things easier on yourself as a freelancer. For instance chapter 7: From pencil to PDF which you can download for free here: http://www.logodesignlove.com/free-logo-design-love-book-chapter. You will learn one of the best ways to get your ideas out. This book is good for freelancers who are just starting out for sure. Sometimes we forget some golden rules, and at about $23 on Amazon, Logo Design Love will really help you out a lot.
